For those of you who aren't familiar with Alan Scott's life long work and preservation of the true working Scott type American Bulldog. 

"By the end of World War II, the last remnants of the working English Bulldog were disappearing in the U.S. Thanks to the breeding programs of John D. Johnson and Alan Scott, the breed was brought back from the brink of extinction."

It was an honored to meet one of the men responsible for the preservation and promotion of this great working class Breed.
